Rooted in Glenn Albrecht’s concept of solastalgia from the book Earth Emotions, this body of work navigates the psychological landscapes of ecological displacement and longing. Through image transfer on wood, fragments of memory are embedded within organic surfaces, blurring the boundary between human imprint and environmental decay. The materiality of wood becomes both archive and witness—absorbing traces, fading histories and emotional residue. Sustainability here is not merely process but ethos, a gesture towards continuity amid fluidity. The series unfolds as a visual elegy for the familiar environments mourned even as they persist, altered, within collective memory.
